After the first time of set up (Mobile device)

  1. Long press the “MENU” button on XScreen to turn on the portable monitor
  2. Use your mobile device to connect to a WiFi network
  3. Open the “Screen Mirroring” on the status bar and choose the XScreen (SSID).

For step 2, the Android device can connect to any usable WiFi because it is not a must for you to connect your device to the same WiFi as XScreen. You can connect to a different WiFi network, connect to XScreen SSID, or use your own mobile data. You can connect to any WiFi to visit the internet.

If you change your WiFi or you go to another area with different WiFi(which leads you to connect to another WiFi network), you need to connect to the new WiFi and need to set up XScreen by the above steps again.

  2. Go to the “Wi-Fi” setting and select your XScreen (The SSID displayed on the top column on the opening interface of XScreen.)

However, when you mirror the screen of your mobile to the second monitor, your mobile screen (portrait) may display on the screen of the portable monitor in a landscape way. The screen is still not large enough. You require this wireless XScreen portable monitor to demonstrate your portrait screen. After the setting of “Portrait Mode” in ”Setting” (the IP address link), you can vary the display orientation setting on the XScreen.

  1. Select the “Portrait Mode” in the “Setting”.
  2. The default portrait mode is “Off”.

Off: the display orientation of XScreen is landscape. Under “Off”, your mobile is better to display in landscape mode. For example, you can use this mode for playing videos and visiting the website.

  1. If you want to display your portrait mobile screen on the portrait XScreen screen, you can drag the “Off” into “On”.

On:  the display orientation of XScreen is portrait. Under “On”, your mobile is better to display in portrait mode. For example, you can use this mode for reading documents and using the user interface.
